No. Each brand and model have their own specific faceplate. You'll have to remove the radio from your dash to locate the information you need to obtain a new faceplate. However the purpose of detachable faceplates are to deter theft of the radio by way of expense. A new faceplate will cost almost as much as a whole new radio. This is to deter a would be thief from stealing the radio knowing that they would have to spend a lot of money to get a face for it. As a result faceplates themselves are a hot commodity in the theft industry so if your not going to remove your face every time you leave your car then don't buy a detachable face unit.

Someone has stolen the face plate from my car stereo and I am not sure of the brand name of stereo. I do not see anything to inform me on the part of the unit that is left in the dashboard.

You're going to be better off replacing the entire car stereo.

If you pull the head unit out completely, you can get the make & model - alternatively, it should be on the receipt if you still have it. If you're lucky, you might find a face for sale on Ebay.

If not, the only thing you can do is buy a new one.
