Is there such thing as a home theater system that does not need a dvd or blue ray?

I want to buy a home theater system that works on anything i watch on tv and not only what i watch on DVD or Blue-Ray! Is there such thing? :s
 
You want an AV Receiver. You can connect to it anything you want.
You need to buy your own speakers.
