We should say Assalamu Alaikkum (Allah mercy and peace be on you).. But I see throughout social network sites simply 'Salaam'.. Sounds stylish.. But it also means like 'Have peace with Shaitaan too'. And be careful while lettering those words. If you miss the letter 'l', It becomes Assaamu Alaikkum (May death happen to you). Some people when seeing other muslim just greet them in a hurry.. That sounds like 'Salamalai-kum' which means (may curse be upon you).. Be careful friends.
Assalamu Alaikkum
When we mankind use the word Salaam means simply peace.. Assalaam refers Allah (as peace maker).. So greeting simply Salaam means 'have peace with everything' my friends. When we do not include As- prefix it is like excluding the uniqueness.. Allah is unique. So never ever exclude the uniqueness while greeting.. Thats all I wanted to say.
