My blueray player will not conect to my wireless router. ?

When i check the connection it does say conected, but still will not connect to netflix. Should i get a new modem?

On your router, check if there is any blocking from your firewall.
From any PC, try to "ping" the blu-ray player.
There is a lot of troubleshooting you can do before you get a new router.
