you're going to have to replace the blu-ray drive .
normally I'd say call Sony but you already voided any warranty and they won't repair it even for money once you break the warranty seal
go online and buy a new drive - be sure to get the right model blu-ray drive for the ps3 model you have . look on the drive after you take it out for the part number
it'll cost between $40 and $69 or so with shipping

You must have damaged it when you opened it up. (I know it was messed up before, but it accepted discs still). Now you have a problem, sony wont touch it now that its been opened (pfft who needs 'em), so a repair by them is out of the question. You now have two options

1) you can attempt to repair it yourself... but remember what happened the last time you opened it up.

2) you can get it repaired by a third party. Local electronic stores do repairs, and so do people online who you ship it to, they repair it, and ship it back for a fee. You might even be able to ship them the broken drive itself and install it yourself at home.

3) you can buy a new blue ray drive and install it yourself. You can find the part in various places, and there are easy to follow installation videos on youtube.

4) you can buy a new blue ray drive and have someone else install it. Like I said before, there are local places that do repairs, and there are people over the internet who will do it for you for a fee, many are trustable and reputable.
