My PS3 wont play mp3 from my wirless media server win xp?

my playstation recognizes the win xp with roll pack 2 connected via Linksys wireless router, i can see the mp3 and even play one of the wma's but i cant watch any of the movies or listen to any of the mp3s does any one have any tips or ideas of what i may be doing wrong
