Well I recently just purchased a new Xbox 360 Slim with some games. One of them is Left 4 Dead. I have played Left 4 Dead before on this same Xbox 360 when I got it, and it had worked, but yesterday, it didn't. I was inserting a USB port (my mp3 player) so I could listen to music as I play, and everything just turned off on me. I turned my Xbox on, and it took 10 minutes for it to get off the main screen. (you know right when you first start it up, the "XBOX 360" screen?) and it finally loaded, except this time, it it mistakenly read my Left 4 Dead game disc as a DVD. And it says "Play DVD" I then took the game out, and put in Resident Evil 5. That game worked for me, but Left 4 Dead keeps getting the "Play DVD" error, over and over again. I was just wondering if you guys/gals have any solutions for me on how to fix this.

And I don't want solutions like "hitting it", "unplugging and restarting" etc.) Because that wouldn't make it an Xbox now would it? It would then be a punching bag like most idiots solve there problems.
So please, I need some help here, thanks.

Rub the disc with your shirt, or a microfiber cloth. Sometimes dust or crap gets on it and the xbox doesn't read the disc properly. I have had the same problem.

well. most likely it's the game data that was saved in your xbox that got corrupted. im not a xbox user, but i'm a ps3 user. but looks like it's the same problem. find a way to delete the L4D game data on ur console, and ur game should be back to normal.

your l4d profile, levels, everything, will be gone btw. but achievements are still there.
