I am running the whr - g54s model. I try to run the easy setup and it says checking WAN type. i get the result DHCP server or PPOE server not found. I click setup manually cause is the only thing to do. I click router mode, then automatic IP adressing, it starts to do its thing.
the cabling is fine but when it goes to DHCP it just says conforming and doesnt stop no matter how long it runs. So i get upset cause my previous provider never gave me this trouble even though is lame. I enter everything manually and what do u know it goes past DHCP i just about jump for joy cause i spent hours figuring stuff i didnt know before out. I then wait for name resolution to be okay. it goes slowly...a thought of somethings gonna go wrong happens. i get an error message and i'd have to go through an hour of stuff to get the exact but it basically said my router couldnt get the name resolution or something along that line? Wt heck does that mean?? and how can i get this up. I want my wii's internet back and i cant until i get this going. im slightly laughing cause everytime i ask a question on yahoo i find the answer the minute after on my own.
