No sound on DVD's on xbox 360 though hdmi cable?

Hello, I bought Celcus 32 inch LCD HD TV at Christmas but when I try to watch DVDs on it through the 360 (HDMI), I get no sound. It's fine with games and everything else like movies through USB. I've tried all possible settings on the 360 and TV and flicking between inputs, but just can not get the sound working on DVDs. I've read a lot about this problem on the net but have had NO luck in finding a solution thus far. However I am almost convinced that it may has something to do with HDCP (High definition content protection) because as soon as I hit A on the control pad to "play DVD" the confirmation sound cuts off almost immediately. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
