Oil change question honda 400ex?

Hi, I have to change my oil here pretty soon and i was wondering how many quarts of oil it takes to fill it up. I also bought an oil filter from a honda dealer and it cost me 8-10 dollars and then i went to Wal-Mart and it cost me 5 is there a difference in oil filters or is wal-mart just the cheaper way to go. Thanks Ethan
 
just like with using a good quality oil there's the same issue with oil filters. Buy quality parts sometimes you can get items cheaper, but they are also made cheaper. Additionally I need to know the engine size to tell you how many quarts are needed, but you can solve all this at your local auto parts store.
 
No one buys from the dealer unless the part can't be gotten else where. This is an intelligence test. Money is too hard to come by to waste it at the dealer. Do recycle the oil the proper way. I change the oil by color, not by miles. I change at 3000 mi or sooner. I change oil filter and air filter once a year.
