People in the religion and spirituality section?

Are a lot of them crazy and nasty or is it just me? I asked what is the difference between Christians and Catholics and that I don't agree with Catholicism. My entire family is Catholic besides my mom and they push their believes on me and I don't like it. This one lady in the R&S section said I was going to hell because I (6 weeks of age) never decided to become Catholic and I was baptized at 17 as a Christian. Are the people in the R&S section crazy and how can I get my family to get off of my back; I turn 19 in a week and I can make my own decisions as far as religion is concerned. Thanks =].
I'm already a believer but I'm not a Catholic; I do not agree with it at all. Like I'm a bad person because I take birth control for messed up horomones =/.
 
Oh my god, I went there a few days ago, everyone is a crazy god warrior who knows nothing, or they're making fun of religion, or they're part of the handful of actually objectively helpful people.
Tell your family that you understand that they care about you but you need to be able to make your own decisions. It ruins your relationships with people when they start trying to control you like that. Tell them that they're also stressing you out and you will find god in your way if you do find him. [Maybe they'll be satisfied enough if you say something like that.]
 
Yes, most people on R&S section are crazy and judgemental. I'm a Catholic(now please don't go away). Catholics are Christians too. As long as you believe in Christ your a Christian. I would never force anybody to follow my beliefs. I would be a little hurt if my children would change religion but I would never tell them they're going to hell. They're not and you're not. Never mind what they say on R&S, follow your heart, believe in God, believe in the Savior and you're going to heaven. Just be a good person. Judgemental people are the worst, they don't realize that judging is a terrible sin. You have to tell yourself that it is because of their ignorance. If they talk like that, they're not truly Catholics(Christians). Keep in mind that I'm a Catholic and we're not that way, please don't generalize.
 
Yeah they are pretty nuts. You cannot ask a question without getting self righteous people who think they are going to convert people via Y!A
 
man religion is so tough esp. when ur whole family is religious..bc then they expect u to be religious no matter what.... but what happened to free will?
i agree with Yemeniya ...no one but God has the right to judge,let them know that
