question for all of the ladies? i need some fashion advice?

so im a 19 year old guy, im going to this family get together thing this weekend. people are going to be dressed formally and some others arent, but not everybody is going to be wearing a suit.

i was thinking of going with this look: white dress shirt, black tie, black vest (button up vest), black dress pants and black shoes.

what do you think of the outfit? somebody told me i would look like a fool cause it is a suit vest and not meant to be worn without the "blazer" part of the suit

im a man...but i can be a lady. i like black and purple as a mix, through on some glitter, a little make-up (not too much) knock em dead dude!

Maybe a little too formal. If it's not a formal event, just dress it down a bit and wear a shirt with your jeans.

Or, wear your dress pants and just a shirt.

I think you should where the button up shirt, gray tie and nice jeans

Or a limo driver.
Don't do it.
I looked at that suit (the express.com site) and it'd be better in the gray;
put a COLORED shirt & complimentary tie with it.
Or a whimsical & unique Christmas tie. NOT BLACK.
A pale green shirt & bold red Christmas tie will work, dude.
I'd also recommend you get the gray jacket / blazer too.
