Recently bought Blu-Ray DVD Player, why is everything green?

My dad recently purchased a Blu-Ray DVD Player, but every time we play a movie, everything is green! It's really annoying, does anyone know how to fix this?
It's not the TV, because when we had our old DVD player, everything was perfectly fine (and also when we watch TV, everything is okay and in color), only problem is when we want to watch a movie on the Blu-Ray player!
 
You probably used component cable to hook up the DVD, these cables are probably not hooked up correctly more than likely what you did was cross the green and blue cables easy to do in low light, to solve the problem make sure you are using the correctly color coded cable red blue green then make sure that the connections are correct on both ends the TV and the DVD...sometimes theses connections will come loose during installation so make sure they are connected properly and have not come loose and that contact is being achieved. Double check everything...
