jews ,muslims,christians kill in the name of religion so what good is religion?
CHARITY only make the rich richer! and the poor poorer! some yrs ago when the sonomi hit central Asia the RED CROSS accumulated 9 billion dollars in their bank account in the name of that cause but when the people who sent the money started asking why the money wasn't getting to help the homeless in those countries ,the RED CROSS said there was a problem because in that the homeless people which was all of the people living there ,the red cross said they were having a hard time PROVING THAT THEY OWN THE LAND THEY WERE LIVING ON SO THEREFORE THAT WAS WHY NOT ONE HOUSE WAS BUILT 4 YRS LATER! they could not show the deed to their land the red cross was keeping the 9 billion which was simply collecting interest every day in the millions! how could these people who lost everything prove that that piece of land was theirs and the last time i check it was really families living abroad that helped the people of the sonomi and not the red cross,i think the red cross 4 yrs later built one house
now imagine if after every disaster the red cross goes on TV and get 9 billions dollars ,and hang on to their loot indefinitely how rich is the red cross who is religious based?
actually Debbie awestruck how do you know that the world wouldn't be a better place without religion?religion teaches people to unite under one cause and to kill for that belief without that, societies without it lives more united for one cause the benefit of that society but as soon as religion enter into the equation ,what happens?seperation,wars,killings! if say America was one religion for everyone that would be great ,a perfect society but you have 20 to 30 different religions and now you have some serious seperation in beliefs therefore wars!
actually the guy who say that politics was founded under religious grounds actually religion states that we should not be individual and act as one like in a dictatorship this is the problem in the middle east religious groups take over and to make everyone that same they go towards becoming a dictator! if you doubt me the next time you go to church,try to do what you feel like and not what the church say you should do,and see what happens!
F_K_ i guess you haven't read the news lately with all the priests who are now being caught raping little orphan boys or boys sent to them to learn at camp etc etc...and religion didn't stop whore from the time of moses so i don't know what you are referring to!
ok why does America when they find out that a presidentical candidate is religious he no loger has any chance of winning?which was why obama won but not Romney!

i heard this from friend who live in the area that she was working in calcutta ok?if you did not belong to her religion or had no religion she turned you away! so mother teresa was no saint to a lot of people from her area! so much for god's work for all!
we have a plage in our society called drugs why is religion not doing something about that?instead they go after people who already saved?why?

In the Roman Catholic religion, as an example, many nuns were trained nurses that tended to the wounded in many wars. The Red Cross insignia was respected by all sides in many wars and in a way, religion helped save many innocent lives during times of brutal conflict. All religions preach dogmas of hope in the face of certain death. There is good and bad in all things.........

Keep love in the world, the world is going mad/crazy with so many people turning away from the true God. This is predicted in the New Testament, just like it states, that is what annoys me about people who do not believe, it is so obvious all you got to do is read it and look at the world. It is so obvious.

The real light is good so they will know which way they should go and many think the darkness is light because the darkness makes them no see and they will never know what they are doing because they are in darkness.

So the people who kill in the name of religion is in darkness:
John 16:2 "They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.

before the arabs had their own religeon, they were constantly at war with each other. and so islam in a sense united them as it helped them to develop a sense of belonging.

Religeon also encouraged the spread of literacy as it was necessary to pass knowledge from one generation to the next.

although religeon has been a major influence on interfaith conflict, it provides the practioners with a moral code of behaviour such as the 10 commandments which without could produce even more conflict.

All of them preach perfect living rules to be followed as to be a human being in the society.But selfish people who follow them for their selfish ends transformed their importance to null and void .in spite of such aberrations it is only those preachings shaped the lives of real people and the society in the beginning.

Christianity, Judaism, and Muslims all contribute in own subtle ways like helping homeless at a shelter or etc. (there such small things, but they do add up and are very important)

and its not like Atheism has a squeaky clean history (although i know atheism isn't a religion, its just not believing in a God). Atheism by far is the most blood soaked of any of the 'Big 4'.

(look at the 20th century genocides by communist leaders who forced Atheism on their people. Stalin, Mao Zedong. and Hitler also is considered an Atheist leader. although im not sure if that's 100% true)

im not stupid though, i do understand that back in the days of crusades and what your complaining about there wasn't half as many people as there was during the genocides. so numbers are a bit slanted.

this is still something to consider.

There really was nothing good religion has done. the holocaust, the crusades, the inquisition, witch trials in europe, world war 2, the civil war (slavery is allowed according to the bible), and many more.
