What are the SAFEST High Schools in Los Angeles and Hollywood???? Please answer!?

We are moving from Austin, TX to Los Angeles, CA to be closer to my ill grandmother. I hear that there are a lot of bad schools and gangs in the L.A. & Hollywood area. My daughter is in the 9th grade which would be high school.

Can you guys tell me the safest and best schools in L.A. and Hollywood. Thanks!
 
You could help us out a lot if you tell us what section of town your grandmother is in. It's like asking what are good schools in Texas.

There are MANY safe schools in LAUSD and surrounding areas. You could also go to Beverly Hills. But even in the nicest, safest, schools, things happen.

Sherman Oaks
Granada Hills
Pacific Palisades
Woodland Hills
Chatsworth
Northridge
Eagle Rock
Burbank

FYI, Hollywood is part of LA. And Hollywood High is not safe.
 
Such a high school does not exist. I used to go to a "SAFE" high school which, 6 years ago, a guy brought a gun to school and threatened to kill people. And students would bring drugs to school to smoke them in the bathroom. By the way, the school made it in the TOP 1,000 BEST SCHOOLS (525th to be exact.)

Safe high schools are usually private schools but if it's public, a good one would be North Hollywood High School.

I'm sorry if it sounded to harsh and negative, but I'm just giving out the truth. If you still feel uncomfortable, you can suggest your ill grandmother to come to Texas with you.
 
Most of the Schools in the Los Angeles unified school District are safe, but the education quality leaves a lot to be desired.. we rank either 49th or 50th. Most people that can afford it usually put their kids in private schools.
 
are u really moving to los angeles or out skirts of L.A. Like San fernando valley or covina b/c there is no safe schools in the city of L.A.
