I have a 2001 Nissan Maxima that just went over 100,000 miles. I get the oil changed and tires rotated every 5,000 miles. We also recently changed the spark plugs. What else do I need to do to keep my car in good condition?
I didn't buy the car new. I bought it last year and it had about 89,000 miles on it at the time.

oil changes ..................every 3000k miles
air filter..........................every 3 oil changes
gas filter......................... every two years
antifreeze checked
oil levels checked engine, trans, steering power. cv joint greased. battery filled

that should do it.....

for what i see... your car will last about 45k miles easily

fuel filter and air filter changed for sure. fuel filter will give u a better millage amongst other things (it should be changed every 40,000 miles)

look in the owners manual and it will tell you what services the car needs at different mileage intervals. for example you need to change the transmission fluid every 75,000 miles and the coolant every 50,000 miles. there is a very detailed service chart in every owners manual.

It's kind of late to start with 100 thousand miles but if you purchased the vehicle brand new, follow the factory recommended maintenance schedule.
