what do you do if your religion fails you?

I have been raised a catholic all my life. I truly believed that god was looking out for me since I have such a horrible life growing up. (sexual abuse, parental abuse, friends taking advantage of me and having no real friends) But, l have really needed Gods and Marys help. I have begged for their help since I have no one else to ask for help from (no living family). I just don't know what to do. I really feel like my faith is failing me. I have only asked for help once in my life and it was answered. What do I do? I have nothing else to fall back on. Should I try to look into myself and find the strength to carry on or go with my feelings and look for a spiritual connection?
 
I was at this point in my life before. Best way to practice religion is between YOU AND GOD. When you get middle men involved it just causes trouble. Bible tells you everything you need to know about god. Have faith, Life is Hard, it's meant to be. God can't do anything for you, he's already given you all the tools to deal with the situations. It's up to you to find that strength inside you. Generally, People are manipulative, dishonest and corruptable. Doesn't mean you can't trust anyone, just means you can't trust anyone blindly. God says, Seek Truth, Knowledge and Wisdom. That's what I try to do in my life and through that I've come to understand many things that I feel god has shown me. Many life truths that seem simple, but most people don't recognize.
 
sorry your feeling so bad. I was raised catholic but then once i was on my own i changed my belief system.

I had alot of questions that many didnt seem to take serious when i asked them for help. so i went out looking on my own. you will find here that many people are not very serious and only like to make fun of people and their beliefs.

I have been one of Jehovahs Witnesses for over 20 years and i never felt regret about my choice to be one of Jehovahs Witnesses all my questions were answered effectively and i found only love and help within the Jehovah witness congregation.
