What DVD burner/converter is best to put VDIX/XVID downloaded films on disk?

I wish to put VDIX / XVID downloaded films on dvd for use on a dvd player that does not play DIVIX. i am wondering what the fastest free burner and converter is to use.

Personally I've tried just about everything out there. I found the one I prefer is ConvertXtoDVD. Its reasonably quick, lets you create menus and the like, and lets you add subtitle files.
