I am doing a research paper for my history class, and I would like to know if there was anything in particular that I could research, that is very interseting about the topic. I obviously do not know much about the topic, and yes, I have googled it and tried reading some books. I'm looking for more of a broad topic that I can write about in my paper. I am NOT asking for answers, just some help towards the right direction. Thanks so much!

Jim crow army units and how they experienced unsegregated life for the first time when stationed in the UK. They could dance and drink with White girls and many British people found them much more polite and humble than the White GIs. this taste of freedom had a lasting impact when they returned to the US. There's lots of pictures on this, try the daily mail and life archives, also in the film 'yanks' there's a scene where a black GI gets beaten up by White GIs for dancing with a White English girl. Many White Americans complained about Negro soldiers being allowed to socialise with whites whilst many British couldnt understand how the Americans could condemn Nazi racism whilst having a jim crow army.
