I want a user to enter information to an application through web access and have the application process their inputs, store them in a database, and provide information back to the user based upon their inputs. I'm used to working with application developers that provided a drop down list to the user, and based upon the selection, the screen refreshea with new information allowing them to make additional selections as well as input information. For example, the user selects the name of an employee working for him/her, additional information appears, and the user inputs the employee's time for the day (start, finish, reasons for leaving early, etc.). Please give me recommendations for the best way to make a web page interact and process information the way a traditional application would on a network at a place of business.
