restaurant? This book was probably written in the 90s. It's young adult fiction about a young girl sent to north California (SF, San Jose or Oakland?) to meet with her extended Vietnamese family and work at their restaurant. She meets her aunts, uncle and cousin and she discovers herself as they are trying to show her what it's like to be integrated in their culture. She also meets a boy there who is white? And they become friends.
She later appreciates who she is as American born and doesn't feel awkward about like she use to.
I read this a long time ago in junior high and lost the book. I would like to know if anyone knows the title. It wasn't highly published. I've goggled but to no avail.
