Whats a good home theater systems with blue-ray to buy?

I came to USA for vocation and I want to take a home theater systems with blue - ray as a gift to my father but I have no idea which one to buy? Does anyone can help me with some options? Thanks

First, the USA is region one and all the home theater systems will be region one. If your in a different region, look for a region free system. The region is on the back of the receiver.

Sony, Panasonic and Samsung are all good systems.
