What's a really good book you recommend for a junior in high school?

What kind of reading are you trying do do? For fun The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Steig Larson is great. For something that you might use in your education, Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse is interesting and there are MANY layers of symbolism.
