ppls minds ? that the Xbox was seriously lacking the 'quality gaming titles' department ?
it was my first console and i picked it over a Ps2.
I kind of wished I hadn't splashed out on an Xbox because most of the games were mediocre compared to the vast array of gaming titles that were available for the PS2.
There were exceptions to the rule, i mean I loved 'Hunter 2: The reckoning' (was that its name ?) and Halo. Other games were not addictive or appealing enough for me, I mean I found them to be a bit mundane and lacking in the 'longetivity' department.
Blinx the timesweeper cat - cute to look at, but the camera angles were fustrating and made the already poor dificult settings worse.
Then there was that impressive racing car game called Wreckless - very beautiful to look at, an interesting game to play - but certainly wasn't rewarding enough to want to go back to it.
DOA 3 was the best beat-em-up I ever played on any system - absolutely gorgeous, breathaking moves and very fun to play, but also got a bit boring after a while.
I'm wondering if PS2 fans/owners who steered clear from the xbox - have no regret of having played games on the xbox, and whether its us xbox owners who feel we had the inferior console with the crappiest games.
but do you people remember the B/S hype surrounding the Xbox at that time ???
i just can't believe that Microsoft had us beliving in their xbox - when it didn't even come close to competing with the PS2 in the gaming area.
bottom line is - I felt that the Xbox was pwnd by the PS2, convincingly in fact.
its a no contest - but I have seen enough gaming footage from the 360 to suggest, Microsoft learned from their past mistakes etc and have a console that can go 'toe-2-toe' with the PS3.
or am I again - beieving the 'hype' and 'b/s' regarding the 360 ?
is the 360 well supported with PLENTY of good gaming titles that exploit its monsterous power ?
or is the PS3 beating it to the punch as the #1 gaming console to have in your living/bed room ?
