Where can I find free DVD authoring software?

I am trying to make a DVD of some birthday videos I have of my children. I can actually make a DVD of them now truthfully. But, what I want to do is create my own menu with my own background where I can separate the years (Age 1, Age 2, etc.) and also add my own music to it to spice it up a little. All the software I've tried so far you either have to use their themes and/or you can't add music. Please help.

You can do it with Ulead Video Studio which is video editing software so you can add songs in the background of your video. It also help you creating dvd's you mentioned here. But you might need a someones help as your not familiar with movie dvd making. Which may a bit harder for newbies.
