I'm going to be taking a two-way plane trip in a couple of months, and it's going to last well over 20 hours. Obviously I'm going to take along my laptop and purchase something to watch so as not to go crazy from boredom.
I'd seen the first six seasons of 24 before swearing off illegally downloading stuff, and since I don't really have the time or the money to watch it I never bothered continuing. So one option I have is to buy Season 7 and watch that.
Alternatively, I'm very interested in trying out the new series of Battlestar Galactica. However, I obviously have to start with the miniseries - so this is not only a bit more risky because I might not enjoy it, but it's also more expensive because I need to buy both the miniseries and the first season in order to have enough viewing material for the trip. However, given that 24 got pretty bad in the sixth season, and I've heard a lot of good stuff about Battlestar Galactica, it might be worth it.
I watched the first 2.5 seasons of Lost before giving up on it, so take that one out of the equation. But other than that, I haven't watched much television at all, so if you think both the above series are bad options I'm open to a third choice!
