Why christians vote against gay marriage but not against fast food and cigarettes?

thy body is thy temple, right? or do you just enjoy the taste of bad food, so you're going to allow yourself that freedom but strip people away from theirs, both of which are congruent with the bibles teachings.

we do vote against using any type of tobacco and alcohol

fast food does not kill you

over eating too many calories for a long period of time kills you.


If some one put to the vote to ban tobacco and alcohol products we would vote to have them banned also.

no ones freedoms have been stripped away

every one now has the same freedoms as any one else.

any body can marry any one of the opposite sex as they choose.
every one also have to obey the laws that restrict marriage to certain types.

No marriage to more then one spouse at a time, no marriage to underage people, no marriage to mentally disabled people, no marriage to close family members, any any other taboo marriages.

they are many restrictions on marriage.
any person who wants to try and marry in those taboo areas can be denied to get married.

We understand that gay marriage isn't really about equal rights it's about forcing Churches to perform gay marriages.If it was just about equal rights and not trampling the beliefs and rights of others they would stick with civil unions.
