Why do cons have no problems with sports players making millions of

Nobody coerces money out of me through taxes to pay for professional athletes. This response won't mean anything to you unless you comprehend the difference between freedom and coercion.

The marketplace determines the salary. To tie salary to amount of work, or benefit to society, is a fool's game that liberals love to play...and cannot seem to get past.

Perhaps if teacher's were not paid by government and allowed to get paid according to their ability as well as be fired, then you would see salaries rise and our children will benefit.

Obviously the best athletes deserve rewards, they earn them for their owners.
Teachers produce nothing, earn nothing for the school, and deserve nothing!

If teachers did their jobs half as well, they might deserve a raise. As it is graduating high-school at an 8th grade reading level is not only ridiculous, it is sad. They should all be ashamed of themselves. They shouldn't even be allowed to call themselves "teachers".

I may be alone but I doubt it, I think all people should be paid according to their worth. Good teachers are very valuable and should be paid according to how well they teach. Unfortunately they are not because the unions have made it almost impossible to fire a poor teacher and good teachers do not get rewarded for their outstanding ability. If you want to make the analogy to sports figures then they should have their stats published and they could sign contracts individually and negotiate them as to their value to the institution and how much revenue they can generate in the way of higher sales to the organization they belong to. Oh yeah, they are not working in a private organization. That is the problem there is no competition in education, that's the flaw in the current system. No Competition!!!

Because conservatives are smart enough to know the difference between someone who's paid with tax dollars and someone whose salary is paid voluntarily.

Why do liberals have such a big problem understanding the difference?

Once, again, this is not true. I AM a teacher so I don't think I'd be complaining about it except to say those of us who have endured a public school in the inner city deserve combat pay.

Because that is on the taxpayers. A member of my family is retiring from teaching in public schools - he is 59 with a masters - he will remain at full salary and also health care until he dies. Know who is paying this wonderful early retirement? Taxpayers. This has got to stop.

Because taxpayers don't pay the salaries of professional athletes .
The only thing that the taxpayer pays for are the venues where the professional athletes ply their trade.
There are some taxpayers that [ due to the obscenely high salaries of today's professional athletes ] will never be able to afford to attend a game at the sports venue that they paid for.
