i try to be understanding, but i just feel uncomfortable (because im not religious at all).
its like they expect me to completely and deeply understand various aspects of their religion, and pay no respect to my own views. i feel like they are forcing their religions on me :(
*****how can i handle this situation better?*****

Because the devil is trying to discourage you from spiritual thoughts so that he can grab your soul as soon as possible before you can get saved. Please read the Bible, New Testament first. It's very important.
John 3:16

Learn about religion. That way, the next time they try to force their bronze age beliefs on you, you can refute them and make them all feel inferior and watch them get all pissy.

Uncomfortable? Perhaps you do not want to be held accountable for your sins? Nobody does. Perhaps God is trying to get through to you via your friends/acquaintances? The Holy Spirit may be dealing with you (does so through our consciences). God is trying to tell you He loves you & wants you to be His.

BTW, nobody should try to force their religion on you.

God bless you
