Why do people discuss politics on a first date?

Yeah I just think on a first date is inappropriate, there are appropriate times.

I cant stand it either but i do agree its a topic that can make for a long conversation and when your done asking whatdo you do, whats you favorite color all the boring questions you need something to talk about
