Why do people get into such a big discussion about the PS3 and XBOX 360

being better than eachother? My friends were having a huge argument. One side said the PS3 is better and the other side said the XBOX 360 was better. Anyway does anyone know exactly why kids get so into these arguments and why it gets so intense some people start throwing punches.
