Why do people say the Church of JESUS CHRIST Of Later Day Saints is not Christian?

Is it the King James Bible's teaching that no one will receive salvation without Joseph Smith's approval, most probably because Jesus, whose duties he is now apparently assisting with,is actually the brother of Satan as the Book of Mormon teaches?

Probably for the same reason you Mormons say that the RLDS aren't 'true' Mormons, despite their assertions that they are. It all just speaks to the schismatic nature of religion.

Your authority is a man with strange perverted doctrines that do not agree with the Word of God (which was completed with the book of Revelation). Your christ is therefore a different christ than that of the Bible. Your way of salvation a different way than that of the Bible. Do you really want me to continue?

do you believe you can become a God? Do you believe in Hell? Do you believe Jesus and Satan were brothers?
If yes, then, your teachings are different from what Christians believe.

I think there are teachings of the Later Day Saints that differ from the bible.

So only churches that use the KJV bible are true Christian churches? May I point out that you also have your OWN scripture (book of mormon) which is not regarded as part of standard scripture by Catholics and Protestants?

BTW, some Mormons call Catholics and Protestants "gentiles" and not true Christians either.

Given that the KJV is the LEAST accurate of all the bible translations, you are on shaky ground already.
(btw, it's LatTer Day Saints. Two "T's"). If I were to found a religion called the "Church of Jesus Christ of Bank Robbers", would that make bank robbers "christian"? Jesus changed water into wine, but LDS do not touch alcohol (in theory, I've known a few that do, though), so there is a discrepancy there as well.
I'm not saying that LDS are not "christian", just that you do need to come up with better arguments to back up your claim.
Blessings on your Journey!

You believe bullshlt that isn`t found in the bible. You added bullshlt to more bullshlt. Ergo, mormonism is more bullshlt than 'real' christianity. Mormons are completely fvcking retarded, I hope you realize that one day.

Because they can't read the Sign. Church Of Jesus Christ, of Latter-Day Saints.

And, rumors. Just like a lot of Christians don't like Muslims, many also don't like any new prophets.Anything new and outside their holy book is frightening, it shakes their belief.

If your belief is strong, you would accept all. You can say that for any faith or philosophy, even atheism.

Even if I wasn't LDS, I don't like ignorance.

EDIT: Mormons Are Protestants. We admit it.

A great many Christians like to confine their use of the term to some narrower group they recognize as meeting their standards for orthodoxy.

Many use the theological and Christological conclusions of the early Ecumenical Councils (prior to the Roman Catholic split from the Catholic Church) as a basis. I prefer to call this narrower division "orthodox Christianity."

Some U.S. Protestants, mostly following old Puritan traditions, even exclude Catholics from the term. This, I think, is seriously counter-productive.

As far as I'm concerned, "Christian" should cover anyone who
(a) regards Jesus of Nazareth as the fulfillment of the first-century Judean expectations of a Messiah ("Anointed One"; in Greek, "Christ"); and who
(b) regards the life of Jesus as a pivotal event in the relationship of humanity to God.

I think that includes the LDS, but I have the impression you're not what I'd consider "orthodox Christian." I admit I'm uncertain of some of your teachings. I might try to pick up a copy of the Book of Mormon for further research sometime.

I can't answer for them, but probably it's the same reason some Protestants claim Catholicism isn't a Christian sect. They simply don't agree, and are willing to cast aspersions upon anyone they don't agree with. It's disgraceful.
