Why does Hollywood keep making stupid romantic comedies?

By Stupid Romantic Comedies I mean... Romantic Comdies. They all suck, they're not funny.
BTW, I have seen the Princess Bride. I don't think it falls under the category of romantic comedy or any other genre for that matter. Romantic comedy is a genre that has been so lame over the past 15 years that I wouldn't want anything respectable like Annie Hall or the Princess Bride to be remotely associated with that genre.
 
that guy already said it.....money, money, and money! the same actors are in them too!! like your icon!!
 
because enough people pay to see them
so it is worthwhile for the studios to make them
