Why Is Alright To Call Celebrities Ugly But Not People At School?

If I say I'm more beautiful than this fat girl at my school, I get all these thumbs down but when a girl on Yahoo Answers asked a question "Who Is the Most Ugly Celebrity", I answered with "you are shallow" and I got a lot of thumbs down.

So why is it fine to ridicule celebrities but not the everyday people?
 
Ugly people should be called out. I think you're right, but then you go wrong somewhere when you start feeling sorry for celebrities. Stay strong!
