Why my DVD player can't play some DVDs?

Why my Samsung DVD player can't read some video DVDs, specially the ones I recorded with a Sony DVD recorder. Actually, it can't even load the DVD. It keeps reading" LOADING", but not able to load. Also my computer can't load these DVDs.
