Will my Toshiba L505-ES5081 run the Sims games? Specifically Sims 3?????????/?

I love the Sims 3 and was wondering if this laptop I purchased 3 days ago could run the Sims? If not, is it possible that can upgrade it? Also what do I need to upgrade?
