Windows 7, intel Celeron, PC dvd player changed to blue ray?

I have a Windows 7 hp PC that has a intel celeron, with a dvd player and dvd writer(It has lightscribe also) and I was wondering if I purchased the Blue ray player/writer, took out my old disc drive, and put in the new disc drive if my windows will recognize it...

I know the screw to take out of my pc so it will Take the disc drive out (NOT hard to get to) Just wanted to know if I installed it if it would work.....
 
Yes, as long as it is compatible with your operating system. It should say on the box what OS's it will work with. If it doesn't recognize it, use the drivers CD that *should have* came with it. If it didn;t come with one, you can find them on the manufacturers website.
