Wireless internet network setup HELP!!> really easy question 10 points!?

Hello. Here is my network situation

1. Modem
2. Router
a. Dad computer
b. Network Switch
i. Computer
ii. computer
iii. Wireless Access Point


How do I connect to my wireless access point to change the settings??

The IP address 192.168.1.1 goes directly to the router, how do i go to the wireless access point??

AND, once i get there, is there a way to set up a password and make it a secure network? thx
i had it spaced nicer but let me explain more in detail

Modem plugs into router. Router branches to dad computer and the network switch. Network switch has 2 computers on it, and the wireless access point.

I want to connect to the wireless right now from my laptop wirelessly and make a password.

You can probably just connect your computer directly to the access point and disconnect it from your LAN then type in its IP address. Once you get into the access point's control panel you will need to change the IP address for the access point as it apparently has the same one as the router. You will also be able to change the admin password as well as set up encryption once you access the access point's control panel.

Isn't the router wireless capable? If so you don't need switch or wireless access. Connect router to modem. Plug in computers you want hard connected. Configure wireless setup of router (encryption etc.) and connect other computers wirelessly.
