I can certainly tell you more about wireless speakers. To start with, they aren't completely wireless. While the audio signal is of course sent wirelessly, the speakers do need a power source. Each one will need to be plugged into a wall outlet.

Also, you will more than likely experience interference at some point. Cell phones, microwaves, security systems, and many more devices can cause interference with your speakers. They can even cross-talk with other wireless speaker systems in the area.

You may also experience issues with dirty power caused by fluctuations in your home's electrical system. This is usually caused by devices that have motors, such as your refrigerator and even washers and dryers. Of course, they do make power filters that you can use to counter this issue, but they cost about $50 per outlet.

In the end, wireless speakers are nothing more than a gimmick targeted toward people who know nothing about audio systems. Take it from people who do know and stay away from these sleazy marketers and their lousy products. I have met countless people who have owned wireless speaker systems and who were dissatisfied with their crappy performance. Save yourself some heart ache and some money and go ahead and run a couple of wires. The 30 minutes you will spend running these wires can provide you with years of worry-free, higher quality sound.
