I have no problem with forcing a system of morals on children, but I have a major problem with forcing children to believe a bunch of nonsense stories and myths that cannot possibly be true. Why can’t religious people give their children morals without the myths and regulations without the rituals? See, myths and rituals screw up a child’s ability to differentiate between fact and fiction. There is a lot of talk these days about scientific illiteracy in Western society. Myths and rituals are almost solely responsible for scientific illiteracy in society, don’t you think so?
