Can anyone recommend me a free decent DVD conversion software?

Here's the thing I need to convert AVIs to a .vob format and am l looking for a free software that can do that for me. I don't mean a trial that lets me convert 50% of the file or some BS like that I need the full thing converted.

Any help would be great thank you.
 
I use Super to do all my converting. Free and effective.
