You could connect it to a small flat screen, they run about $200 us for 19-26 inches.. they are TV's.. most monitors like that do not have the AV cables that you are looking for.
they also sell traveling DVD players w/a built in screen.. but you would probably be happiest with going to a store like best buy and buying a 32 inch low end LCD TV for around $300 US and using that.. the quality and picture will be perfect unless your some videophile kind of person.
