can today's DVD players play DVDs from other formats like Region 2 or PAL?

i am really wanting to watch a series that use to come on the Disney Channel called Ocean Girl, and it is only in the format of Region 2/PAL. i havent found it in region 1 format yet. where could i get a dvd player that plays another format?? thanx!!
