Do you think Roger Maris AL SS home run record will ever be broken ?

We know the roiders Bonds. McGwire and Sosa all broke it but they were NL players. 50 years Maris record has stood.
 
I think it can happen one day. However, in the last few years, home runs have dropped off dramatically.

I think Ken Griffrey Jr. and Frank Thomas could have broken Maris' home run record for most in the AL. But there was also a strike in 1994. I think the record will be broken in about 20-30 years but right now, it will NOT happen because pitchers are way better now.
 
'Ever' is a LONG TIME, but I don't see anyone breaking it anytime soon.
I would say Jose Bautista, Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder (if he signs with an AL team) have the best shots at breaking it, but I still don't think they will.
