If i want to play a lot of RPG/ Adventure type of games which console is best?

Out of the PS3 and xbox 360 which console should i get for RPG/Adventure/ Action type of games. Both have a lot of first person shooters but im only 14 and not allowed to play to many violent games but there can be fighting but like you know how GTA IV is or how COD has the sound of guns and everything..i can't get those type of games.

Don't tell me to get a wii. they suck.
 
well for rpg's queit a few of them are on the pc but the 360 has eternal sontana, fable 2 and lost odessy all very good games im not to sure on the ps3 side
