Is a 1993 Nissan Altima a good first car for a 17 years high school senior?

I will going off to college soon. Really won't be driving it that much. I don't have muchmoney that's why I'm looking into older cars. I have saw reviews that say that Nissan Altima last a long time if they are well took care of.
