Download Vuze. Once you have that, download torrent files. If you look at the comments section of the file, it will tell you if it is a virus. If there is no mention of a virus then most likely it is safe. Quality is much better with torrents. No fake files.

wouldn't say safe id say 'safer', remembering these virus protecting programs aren't 100% efficient, and once your computer has the virus your infected - so all these programs would be doing is detecting it.. sometimes after its done all the damage

always be careful with what you download, id suggest googling online guides and getting an idea for yourself and making sure you have a good firewall, anti-virus product and multiple virus scanners at hand.

Having anti-virus programs doesn't mean you are completely protected. The virus must be in your system before the anti-virus program can detect it, meaning that the virus will have had time to run, and likely damage your system.

So short answer is no. Stay away from Limewire.

Limewire is safe if you know what your downloading. To make sure your not downloading anything with a virus, look if the music is exactly what you are looking for. So dont download anything that just has the song title, THAT IS A VIRUS.

Virus proctection will proctect you from virus but if you have Norton 360 that protects you from everything, Viruses malicious software and it has a better firewall than the windows.

I hope I helped

Limewire shouldn't be a problem if you have a good virus protection. You just really need to make sure you can tell the difference btw the REAL files and the PHONIES.

TIPS:
(Audio files)
1. Check the size of the file (Don't confuse bitrate for file size or vice versa). If the file you're downloading is well over 3 minutes and the file size is 300kbs, IT'S A PHONY.
2. Look at the name of the file you're downloading. If the name of the file doesn't have the complete name or doesn't look legit, IT'S A PHONY.
3. Even if there are 20 peers with that file, that doesn't mean that it is safe to DL. As long as you follow the first 2 tips, you should be in the clear of DLing A PHONY.
