PS2 Guitar Hero DVD does not play on my console. Please help?

Just got the Guitar Hero for my son and we hooked everything up and it say's that this disc cannot be read. All his other PS2 games play without any problems. Please help me if you know, my son is soooo disappointed. This is an early Christmas present for him. Thank You,
