PS3 question about built in blue ray player?

some one told me my blue ray player is dying that to much dust is pileing up is this possible can yr blue ray player really die out like that
 
yes . dust is bad because it causes overheating of the ps3 . sony says in the ps3 manual to use a low powered vacuum at the vents to clean the dust out every 3 months or so . don't take the ps3 apart , just vacuum the vents and every 6-9 months I also pull the hdd out of mine and vacuum in there too

yes this is true mine did die out from dust and over playing. if you open it up and clean the dust off you should be fine but i just bought another ps3.
