What size road bike frame do I need? And what about standover height?

I'm a 5' 5" woman with an inseam of 29 3/4 inches. I'm looking for a road bike, and I want to know what size frame I'll need, and am wondering about stand over height and tube length--how do you figure that out?

most bike frames for road bikes are measured in Cm and for your height you probably need a small or about a 50 or 52cm depending on the make of bike, Fuji would be a 50 or 52 , Schwinn would be a small or 48 or 50cm and so on ..... other makes and models are slightly different and of course you have to consider your stem length and seat height. The standover height is only the first step to getting a bike that suits your needs. Any female specific road bike will be suited to your needs and you will want to sit on a few and have someone qualified check your form in a stationary trainer to ensure the bike fits you in all aspects before you buy.
